Romain Carré's projects encompass, without hierarchy, worlds, life, physics, and realities, forming a research into Post-Nature in which a continuity emerges between different forms of intelligence, organic and synthetic matter, the living and the inert, digital and fictional entities. Each piece draws on the protocols and materials of science, displacing them from their regime of proof into a space of speculation rather than certainty. The form this research takes shifts and never settles: a scent, a living or sculpted matter, an image reconstituted by an external intelligence may equally become its site. Within this universe, narratives are non-referential, each agent participating without precedence in a shared atmosphere. Romain Carré's practice thus does not seek to represent the world, but to replay its sensory experience, within a network where each thing exists by and with the others.
